9/15/12…..ForImmediate Release….The BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tourmade their second visit of the season at Pittsburgh’sPennsylvania Motor Speedway for the running of the Pittsburgher 100 and RexKing, Sr. got to work out his frustrations on the speedway. "I wasaggravated all day, just everything with the weather yesterday and we had toget here early today." The wait was worth it though, as King found somemoisture low in turns three and four just past the midpoint of the race andsaid that the "tacky stuff launched right up here and away we went."

Mark Frankhouser and Mike Turnerled the field to the drop of the green flag with Mike Turner taking the lead onthe start.  . Randy Chrysler, who won the$500 King of the Hill race earlier in the day, jumped into second from sixth onthe grid. But the biggest move on the opening lap belonged to series pointsleader, Brian Weaver, who advanced from twelfth to fifth.

Chrysler claimed the lead on thesecond circuit, with Brad Rapp and Weaver in tow. Weaver was working theoutside line effectively and took second away from Rapp just one laplater.  While Chrysler continued to lead overWeaver and Rapp, Rex King, Sr. worked his way into fourth and Dave Murdickfollowed him to fifth.

The first stoppage of the raceoccurred on lap 19, when Don Brown spun. Chrysler surrendered the lead toWeaver on the restart. In just two laps, King blasted into second.

After King found the moisture, hewas able to reel in Weaver. On lap 26, he powered off the bottom of turn fourwith the lead. Soon thereafter, the second and final caution was displayed forBrown, who came to a stop near the backstretch pit entrance.

King led Weaver on the restart, with Chrysler and Murdick close behind. However, the fastest car on the trackin the closing laps belonged to Eric Gabany. He picked up several positions inthe stretch run.

King swept under the checkersfirst, followed by Weaver and Chrysler. Gabany was fourth, with Murdick fifth.  Rex King, Jr. was sixth, with Rick Ricknernext. Rapp faded to eighth.
