The BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tour held its first doubleheader weekend of the 2012 season and the racers vied for special prizes offered by Richmond Gear. Taking the win at Mercer Raceway Park was Dave Murdick, while Kevin Hoffman scored his first series victory at Dog Hollow Speedway. 

Although he did not reach victory lane, series points leader Brian Weaver, of Windsor, NY, gathered the most points over the course of the weekend. Also receiving Richmond Gear prize packages were Dave Murdick, Joe Kubiniec, Brad Rapp, Randy Chrysler, and J.R. McGinley.

 The next events for the BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tour will be contested over the Labor Day Weekend, at Sharon Speedway and Eriez Speedway. That will be the Bully Dog Northern Challenge, and over $1,000 in Bully Dog awards will be presented based upon the racers' points earned that weekend.
